Spot kick drama at County

Spot kick drama at County

Tonight's WPL trek to Haverfordwest ended all square at 3-3 but there was high drama at the end as referee Darren Eadie awarded both sides penalties in the dying minutes. Paul O'Neill's first half opener for Town was cancelled out by two quick replies from the Bluebirds' Jack Christopher. Jon Fisher Cooke restored parity in the second half before Christopher completed his hat trick from the spot a minute before full time. In the second minute of injury time Town then won a penalty for handball from Jack Lewis's deep throw into the area and Michael Parker saved a precious point for the Seasiders. Just rewards for a long and arduous journey to west Wales. The night's other game preserved our status quo in the table, Airbus surprisingly being held 1-1 at Cefn Druids. All tables updated.

After playing us on Wednesday night I note that Haverfordwest have a nice recovery time before playing Bala at home on Sunday yet we are playing Bangor this Friday night. Why the anomalies Deakin. Why were we not given the same recovery time. We could have played Bangor on Saturday or Sunday. Yet another case of you looking after the interests of your preferred super 12 candidates....

Superb result from the lads tonight, travelling all that way midweek and taking time off work, often unpaid. It's a tremendous credit to the lads that they never give up and battle to the end. Have to commend the players for the loyalty they show to the club. They've done us proud tonight, lets repay them by having a big turnout on Friday night for what will be another difficult game only 36 hours after returning home.
