Academy desperate to play
Gus Williams writes...Owing to the weekend weather the playing surface at St Asaph Leisure Centre which hosts the Academy games has fallen foul of the weather and again culiminting in a frustrating weekend for the boys.
All three age groups were due to play a fortnight ago against Caersws but they couldn't come to Prestatyn therefore the game against Bangor was a great opportunity to play again, but the weather took made sure this didn't happen with St Asaph Leisure Centre fields snowbound.
A local official visited the area and deemed the pitches unplayable. His decision was confirmed by the Leisure Centre themselves who agreed and ensured that the school playing fields should be closed until the weather warms again.
Can all players be aware that we play against the Nomads next week at the Quay and that they should monitor this website on Monday for news of training as the astroturf is also under heavy snow at the Leisure Centre. Hopefully training will be on.'
